RESOLUTION NO 803
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HONORING THE DELEGATION
FROM OUR SISTER CITY, IKAWA -CHO, JAPAN.
WHEREAS, the cities of Ikawa and Tukwila have affiliated as
Sister Cities with the common goal of international understanding, and
WHEREAS, each year since formal affiliation, our community has
benefited by the exchange of friendship and culture with a visit from
citizens of Ikawa, and
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Ikawa have, again, journeyed
to our community to strengthen the ties of brotherhood and respect between
the peoples of our two nations.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, DO
The Mayor and the Tukwila City Council hereby officially wel-
come our guests from Ikawa and declare them honorary citizens
of the City of Tukwila.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a special meeting thereof this 8th day of November 1981.
