RESOLUTION NO 813
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WATER
PURVEYOR'S CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF SEATTLE
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila has purchased water from the
City of Seattle for a substantial period of time; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seattle has advised the City of Tukwila
and other municipalities which also purchase water from the City
of Seattle that it is necessary to negotiate a new contract for
the purchase of water; and
WHEREAS, extended negotiations between various municipalities,
including the City of Tukwila, and the City of Seattle has resulted
in the formulation of a proposed water purveyor's contract; and
WHEREAS, due to differing concerns of various municipalities,
there are two proposed versions of the water purveyor's contract
which the City of Seattle is prepared to enter into with the City
of Tukwila; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee has recommended that the
City of Tukwila signed version be of the proposed water purveyor's
contract with the City of Seattle in order to provide for the
public welfare and to assure the citizens of the City of Tukwila
a source of water for the future,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tukwila,
Washington do ordain as follows:
The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute Version B of the water purveyor's contract
with the City of Seattle, including the modifications
contained in a letter to the City of Tukwila from
PASSED AT A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUKWILA this
