RESOLUTION NO 819
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR REPAIR SERVICES
WHEREAS, during heavy rain and high river there was a cave -in
of the storm drain system in the southeast corner of South 180th Street
and Andover Park West.
WHEREAS, The Public Works Director has declared an emergency as
further rain and continual washing could undermine the foundation of the
storm drainage system, street pavement, traffic control box, street light
and other utilities in the street.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Tukwila City Council hereby declares the condition
of the storm drain system on South 180th Street and Andover Park West an
emergency situation and authorizes the Mayor to execute a construction
contract with Tri -State Construction in the amount of $34,106.67 to re-
establish the storm drainage system.
Section 2. Estimates of completion costs are shown in Exhibit
A and will be paid from the Street Fund $5,758.50 and Arterial Street Fund
$50,000.00.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a regular meeting thereof this 6th day of April 1932.
