HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0829 - Public Hearing on Western Pacific Properties Annexation CITY of TUK WILA WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 829 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION TO ANNEX TO THE CITY CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE TUKWILA PLANNING AREA AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE SUBJECT PETITION. (WESTERN PACIFIC PROPERTIES) WHEREAS, there was filed with the City of Tukwila on July 12, 1982, a revised Notice of Intention to commence annexation proceedings pursuant to RCW 35A.14.120, and WHEREAS, the environmental checklist for this proposed annexation was reviewed and a Declaration of Non Significance was made by the City's responsible official. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Approved as to Form Section 1. Receipt of a petition by Western Pacific Properties to annex 3.19 acres situated contiguous to the City's north boundary, pursuant to RCW 35A.14.120, is hereby acknowledged. Said annexation area is described on Exhibit A, attached hereto, and is depicted on the map found on Exhibit B, attached hereto. Section 2. A public hearing will be held on September 7, 1982, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Tukwila City Hall, as provided in RCW 35A.14.120, for the purpose of meeting with the initiating parties of this petition to determine: A. Whether Tukwila will accept the proposed annexation, and B. Whether Tukwila will require the simultaneous adoption of a proposed zoning regulation for the area proposed to be annexed or to decide how the land will be zoned after it has been annexed to the City, and C. Whether Tukwila will require the assumption of all, or any portion of, the existing City of Tukwila indebtedness by the area to be annexed.
