WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila will be acquiring right -of -way for construction
of a replacement bridge for the existing "T" Line Bridge in Tukwila, and
WHEREAS, right -of -way acquisition procedures are regulated by Federal and
State laws and regulations such that the City of Tukwila must contract for
acquisition services with either the State of Washington or with a qualified
agency or private party approved by the State of Washington.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, DO HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor, through the Public Works Director, shall contact the Department
of Transportation, State of Washington, to obtain a contract for "T" Line
Bridge right -of -way acquisition services conforming to the Uniform Relocation
Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1971, Public Law
91 -646, the State Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition
Act (R.C.W. 8.26), and State Regulations (W.A.C. Ch. 365 -24 and Local Agency
Guidelines, Division 8) provided that any contract shall be either with the
State of Washington or an agency or private party approved by the Department of
Transportation, State of Washington, and provided further that no contract may
be entered into by or on behalf of the City of Tukwila until review and
authorization by the City Council.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON
ALLOWING THE MAYOR, THROUGH THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR,
TO OBTAIN A CONTRACT FOR "T" LINE BRIDGE ACQUISITION
SERVICES CONFORMING TO FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS AND
REGULATIONS, PROVIDING THAT NO CONTRACT MAY BE EXECUTED
UNTIL REVIEW AND APPROVAL, IF ANY, BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
