WHEREAS, King County has proposed an admendment to
Substitute House Bill No. 713 relating to health services, and
WHEREAS, this bill will require binding arbitration
between the cities in King County and King County government on the
health contract, and
WHEREAS, large cities have full participation in all
health district /department decisions but, smaller cities are dependent
on an informal negotiation for an opportunity to influence fiscal
decision.
WHEREAS, fiscal impact on the formal arbitration process
cannot be pre- determined.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a regular meeting thereof the 4th day of April 1983.

RESOLUTION NO. 862
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DECLARING OPPOSITION TO SUBSTITUTE HOUSE BILL
NO. 713 REGARDING HEALTH SERVICES.
The Tukwila City Council hereby opposes
Subsitute House Bill No. 713 and respectfully
requests the Legislative Body to defeat the
passage of this document.
