RESOLUTION NO 893
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DIRECTING THE MAYOR OR HIS DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE
TO ABATE A PUBLIC NUISANCE.
WHEREAS, the Tukwila Building Official, pursuant to the Uniform
Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings (1982 Edition), hereinafter
referred to as UCADB," has determined after inspection that the building
located at 14458 Interurban Avenue (Maule) is dangerous within the defini-
tions of the UCADB Section 302 and more particularly as follows:
1. Roof structure deteriorated to state of collapse.
2. Foundation /floor deteriorated to point near collapse.
3. Interior damaged to be uninhabitable.
WHEREAS, the Tukwila Building Official posted the building as a
dangerous building on the 1st day of September, 1983.
WHEREAS, it appears that dangerous buildings and public nuisance
should be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor or his designated representative, the Tukwila Building
Official, shall commence proceedings to cause the repair, rehabilitation,
demolition, or removal of the building located at 14458 Interurban Avenue
(Maule) pursuant to Chapter 4 of the UCADB, and subsequent chapters. No
repair or demolition work may be commenced by the City pursuant to Section
701(c) (3) of the UCADB until the City Council shall appropriate sufficient
funds to cover the cost of such repair or demolition work which shall be re-
covered by special assessment against the real property involved.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a regular meeting thereof this 19th day of December 1983.
