RESOLUTION NO. 911 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE GREEN RIVER
MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Green River flows through the geographic boundaries of
King County and the Cities of Auburn, Kent, Renton and Tukwila and is a com-
mon drainage course, and
WHEREAS, the Green River has been recognized by the participating
parties as an important recreation and environmental resource of the region,
and
WHEREAS, there are mutual advantages of the parties to join in coor-
dinated cost sharing and management of operations contributing inflow to the
river, and
WHEREAS, the parties recognize a need for Green River management
policies.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Green River
Management Agreement. Said agreement is a cooperative management policy
between King County and the cities of Auburn, Kent, Renton and Tukwila.
Section 2. This resolution does not commit the City to any expendi-
tures beyond the year, 1985.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this _day of 1984.
