HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0922 - CDBG Block Grant for Plans and Specifications to Improve Field Drainage (Foster Park) RESOLUTION NO 922 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO REQUEST TO USE $7,243 IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO DEVELOP PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS TO IMPROVE FIELD DRAINAGE AT FOSTER PARK. WHEREAS, a total of $7,243 in Community Development Block grant Funds are available for qualified City and Community Development Block Grant projects, and, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Tukwila to have safe and usable park facilities, and, WHEREAS, Foster Park has limited "yearly use and plans for improve- ments need to be developed to reduce the seasonal wet field conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: The Mayor is authorized to apply to the Community Development Block Grant office requesting to use $7,243 in funds ($7,000 in 1984 Pop Funds and $243 in 1982 Pop Funds) to develop plans and specifications for future construction to reduce the drainage problems at Foster Park. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a regular meeting thereof this day of 1984.
