RESOLUTION NO 924
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF A UTILITY VAN FROM PACIFIC
NORTHWEST BELL TO BE USED BY THE LAW ENFORCEMENT
EXPLORERS OF POST #999 AND THANKING PACIFIC NORTHWEST
BELL FOR SAID DONATION.
WHEREAS, Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone has graciously offered to
donate one of their utility vans, which is no longer utilized by their com-
pany, and
WHEREAS, This van will be utilized primarily by the Law Enforcement
Explorers of our Post for transportation to and from functions and activities
they are requested to assist in, and
WHEREAS, Donations from community businesses will be used to equip
the car with such needs as lettering on the sides, seats and interior equip-
ment, and
WHEREAS, the vehicle will be presented to the City by Mrs. Marjorie
Wickham, Community Affairs Manager, for Pacific Northwest Bell at the August
20 Council Meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Tukwlia hereby accepts the donation of a
Utility Van from Pacific Northwest Bell for the sole use by members of Law
Enforcement Explorers Post No. 999, in performance of approved activities.
Section 2. The City of Tukwila hereby expresses its gratitude and
appreciation to Pacific Northwest Bell for its generous donation.
Section 3. A copy of this resolution is to be recorded as a per-
manent record of the City and a copy shall be given to a representative of
P a c i f i c Northwest Bell.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this 6th day of Auqust 1984.
