within the Town of Tukwila.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUK 1ILA.
Section 1. Any person, firm or corporation desiring to open up or
conduct any business enterprise or undertaking whatsoever within
the corporate limits of the Town of Tukwila, shal' first apply
to the Town Council for a license to conduct such business.
Section 2. Upon application being made to the Town Council by any
person, firm or corporation for a license to conduct a.ny business
enterprise or undertaking, it shall be the duty of the Town
Council or a committee appointed by it to investigate And ascer-
tain whether or not the proposed business will be a desirable
addition to the industries of the Town and whether or not the co
ducting of said business enterprise or undertaking will in any
way conflict with the Laws of the State of Washington or the law s
and ordinances of the Town of Tukwila..
Section 3. If, upon investigation, the Town Council or committee
appointed by it Ascertains that it is desirable that said person,
firm or corporation be allowed to conduct ouch business within the
corporate limite of the Town of Tukwila, the Town Council shall
issue a license to the said person, firm or corporation, granting
them the privilege to conduct said business enterprise or under-
taking, for which license a charge of $S; °,-T-- will be made.
Section 4. Any person violating the terms of section 1 of this
ordinance shall be deemed to be guilty of an offense, and upon
conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than Five Dollars
($5.00) nor more than One Hundred DolLars (4100.00).
Section 5. This Ordinance shall_ become effectite from and after
five (5) days from the date of its publication.
Passed the Town Council and signed by me in open session in
authentication of its passage this 13th day of March 1919.
