RESOLUTION NO. 938 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO MRS. MARY ELLEN WHITEHEAD
AND THANKING HER FOR DONATIONS.
WHEREAS, one project accomplished under the 1984 Budget was construc-
tion of the picnic area along the creek at the west edge of .-City Hall site,
and
WHEREAS, the landscaping called for replacing of the old trees, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. nary Ellen Whitehead generously offered a number of
perennials to be included in the landscaping as a memorial to her husband, and
WHEREAS, these trees had been planted in their yard by her husband,
Stan, who greatly enjoyed nature and the preservation of the natural
environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and City Council appreciate the donation from Mrs.
Whitehead. for many years the growth of the trees Western Red Cedar, Douglas
Fir, White Fir, Hemlock and Yew -will enhance the picnic area and be enjoyed
by all those that pass the City Hall site.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this day of 1985.
