RESOLUTION NO. 940
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, REJECTING ANY AND ALL
BIDS RECEIVED BY THE CITY TO SUPPLY THE CITY
WITH A USED KENWORTH FIRE PUMPER TRUCK.
WHEREAS, in January, 1985, the City's fire department
determined that it would be cost effective to purchase a used
Kenworth fire pumper truck for the City's fire department and to
refurbish the same rather than purchasing a new vehicle, and
WHEREAS, on January 21, 1985, the City Council of the
City of Tukwila authorized the City administration to call for
bids to supply the City with a used Kenworth fire pumper truck,
and
WHEREAS, on February 13, 1985, the City opened the one
bid which was submitted by Western Salvage Company and found the
same to be in the amount of $30,739.00, and
WHEREAS, representatives of the City's fire department
have inspected the 1965 Kenworth fire pumper truck which was the
subject of the bid and found the same to require extensive repairs
which would cost far more than the previous estimates to refurbish
such a used vehicle, and
WHEREAS, the City Council therefore desires to reject
all bids received pursuant to RCW 35.23.352, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHING'T'ON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Bids Rejected. Pursuant to RCW 35.23.352,
the City Council of the City of Tukwila hereby rejects any and all
bids received by the City in response to the City's January 21,
1985 call for bids to supply a used Kenworth fire pumper truck to
the City.

WASHINGTON, AT THEIR REGULAR MEETING on the 41?� day of
