HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0950 - Public Hearing for Street Vacation of South 152nd Street RESOLUTION NO. 950 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING UPON A PETITION FOR VACATION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY WITHIN THE CITY OF TUKWILA GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS THAT PORTION OF SOUTH 152ND STREET TRAVERSING TRACTS 37 AND 38, BROOKVALE GARDEN TRACTS (HAMPTON HEIGHTS ASSOCIATES). WHEREAS, on April 10, 1985, Hampton Heights Associates, Graydon Smith and Marlys Smith filed a petition for vacation of certain right of way generally described as that portion of South 152nd Street traversing Tracts 37 and 38, Brookvale Garden Tracts, with the office of the City Clerk, and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of more than two thirds of the property abutting the right of way sought to be vacated, and WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 35.79.010, the City Council has determined that a public hearing should be held for the purpose of consid- ering said petition for right of way vacation, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. A public hearing upon the petition of Hampton Heights Associates, Graydon Smith and Marlys Smith for vacation of certain public right of way generally described as that portion of South 152nd Street traversing Tracts 37 and 38, Brookvale Garden Tracts, shall be held in the City Council chambers at Tukwila City Hall at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, on JUNE to 1985, which is not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of this resolution, at which time all persons interested in said right of way vacation are invited to appear and be heard. Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to post written notice of the pendency of the public hearing in three public places in the City of Tukwila and in one additional conspicuous place on the right of way sought to be vacated at least twenty days prior to the date set for hearing.
