RESOLUTION NO. 953
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, ACCEPTING THE TURNOVER OF A SANITARY SEWER
MAIN AND MANHOLE CONSTRUCTED BY GERALD KNUDSON IN 58TH
AVENUE SOUTH FROM THE END OF THE CUL DE SAC ON SUCH
STREET TO SOUTH 149TH STREET.
WHEREAS, as part of the development of certain property in the
City of Tukwila, Gerald C. Knudson has constructed a sanitary sewer main
consisting of approximately 328 lineal feet of 8 inch PVC sewer line and
one manhole in 58th Avenue South from the end of the cul de sac on such
street to South 149th Street, and
WHEREAS, the City has received a request from Gerald C. Knudson
for acceptance of the sewer main and manhole as a public sewer main exten-
sion and Mr. Knudson has furnished the City with a bill of sale and as
built plan of the main manhole,'and
WHEREAS, the City Public Works Department has reviewed the sewer
main and manhole construction and has determined that the same meets all
applicable City standards and specifications and the Department has there-
fore recommended to the City Council that the same be accepted by the City,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the sewer main and
manhole should be accepted by the City as a public sewer main extension and
that the City should assume responsibility for the operation and mainte-
nance of the same, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Acceptance of Construction, Ownership and Responsi-
bility for Maintenance. The City Council of the City of Tukwila hereby
approves and accepts the turnover of approximately 328 lineal feet of
8 inch PVC sewer line and one manhole constructed by Gerald C. Knudson in
58th Avenue South from the end of the cul de sac on such street to South
149th Street in the City of Tukwila. The City Council further approver and
accepts the bill of sale dated October 12, 1983 furnished by Mr. Knudson to
the City. The City does hereby accept ownership of and full responsibility
for maintenance of the said sewer line and manhole.
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AT THEIR REGULAR MEETING on the 20th day of May 1985.

THIS INSTRUMENT made this 12 day of October 1983 by
and between GERALD C. KNUDSON, hereinafter called "Grantor" and
CITY OF TUKWILA, a municipal corporation of King County, State of
Washington, hereinafter called "Grantee
WITNESSETH:
That said Grantors for a valuable consideration, does hereby
grant, bargain, and sell to the Grantee, the following described
improvements:
A) SANITARY SEWERS: together with a total of 1 manhole and /or
any other appurtenances thereto.

Including 328 lineal feet of 8" (size) PVC (type)
sewer line.
To have and to hold the same to the said Grantee, its
successors and assigns forever.
The undersigned hereby covenants that it is the lawful owner
of said property; and that the same is free from all encumbrances;
that all bills for labor and material have been paid; that it has

the right to sell the same as aforesaid; that it will warrant and
defend the same against the lawful claims and demands of all
persons.
The Bill of Sale is given in consideration of the agreement
of the Grantee for itself, its successors and assigns to
incorporate said utilities in its utility system and to maintain
them as provided in the applicable City Ordinances.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned has caused this
instrument to be executed on this 12 day of October 1983.
