HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0957 - Proposed Design of Metro Park and Ride Site (Interurban Avenue / 52nd Avenue South) RESOLUTION NO. 957 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, INDICATING THE COUNCIL'S AGREEMENT WITH THE PROPOSED DESIGN OF THE PROJECT COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE METRO PARK AND RIDE LOT LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF INTERURBAN AVENUE AND 52ND AVENUE SOUTH AND EXPRESSING THE COUNCIL'S INTENT TO ACCEPT THE DEDICATION OF CERTAIN STREET IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE BY METRO IN DEVELOPING THE SITE. WHEREAS, the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle (Metro) intends to construct a park and ride lot at the inter section of 52nd Avenue South and Interurban Avenue, which lot is primarily located in the City of Tukwila, and WHEREAS, Metro has requested that the City Council express its opinion with respect to the proposed design of the project and the dedication of street improvements to 52nd Avenue South and Interurban Avenue to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Tukwila hereby expresses its agreement with the proposed design of the Metro park and ride lot to be located at the intersection of 52nd Avenue South and Interurban Avenue, as such design is shown on the plans prepared by Entranco Engineers and submitted to the City by Metro on April 25, 1985. The City Council further indicates its intent to accept the dedication of certain street improvements to be made by Metro in connection with the project on 52nd Avenue South and Interurban Avenue, including, but not limited to, the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Interurban and 52nd when said improvements have been completed to City standards and proper and binding documents relating to the dedication and maintenance of such street improvements have been submitted to the City in a form meeting the approval of the City Council. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a regular meeting thereof this 3d day of June 1985.
