RESOLUTION NO. 967
A 'RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, APPROVING A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TUKWILA AND UNITED
STEELWORKERS OF AMERICA LOCAL 911 REPRESENTING THE
TUKWILA POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION, FOR THE PERIOD
COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 1985 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31,
1986 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE SAME ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, United Steelworkers of America Local 911 (hereinafter
referred to as "the Union represents, for collective bargaining purposes,
the Tukwila Police Officers' Association, and
WHEREAS, the previous contract between the City of Tukwila and the
Union with respect to the Police Officers' Association expired December 31,
1984, and
WHEREAS, the City and the Union have been negotiating a new contract
and have reached a tentative agreement for the period commencing January 1,
1985 and ending December 31, 1986, subject to ratification by the City Council
and the members of the Union, and
WHEREAS, the members of the Tukwila Police Officers' Association
ratified the said tentative agreement and the City administration has recom-
mended to the City Council, and the City Council concurs, that the City
Council should do the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval and Authorization. The City Council hereby
approves that certain collective bargaining agreement entitled "1985 -86 Labor
Agreement Between the City of Tukwila and United Steelworkers of America, for
and on Behalf of Local 911, Representing the Tukwila Police Officers'
Association" and authorizes the Mayor of the City of Tukwila to execute the
same on behalf of the City.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this 4 day of 1985.
