RESOLUTION NO. 972
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE TIME FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING UPON A PETITION FOR VACATION
OF CERTAIN PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY WITHIN THE
CITY OF TUKWILA GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS MAULE
AVENUE FROM S 143RD TO 58TH AVENUE SOUTH
(THE ARCHITECTURAL CONSULTANTS, INC AND
LUTHER J CARR, JR
WHEREAS, on May 23, 1985, the Architectural
Consultants, Inc and Luther J Carr, Jr filed a petition with
the City Clerk for vacation of certain right of way generally
described as Maule Avenue from South 143rd Street to 58th Avenue
South, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has determined that said peti-
tion was signed by the owners of more than two thirds of the
property abutting the right of way sought to be vacated, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 35 79 010, the City
Council has determined that a public hearing should be held for
the purpose of considering said petition for right of way vaca-
tion, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 A public hearing upon the petition of the
Architectural Consultants, Inc and Luther J Carr, Jr for vaca-
tion of certain public right of way generally described as Maule
Avenue from S 143rd Street to 58th Avenue South shall be held in
the City Council chambers at Tukwila City Hall at 7 00 p m or as
soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, on September 23,1985,
which is not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the
date of passage of this resolution, at which time all persons
interested in said right of way vacation are invited to appear
and be heard
Section 2 The City Clerk is directed to post written
notice of pendency of the public hearing in three public places
in the City of Tukwila and in one additional conspicuous place on
the right of way sought to be vacated at least twenty days prior
to the date set for hearing
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, AT THEIR REGULAR MEETING on the 3rd day of
September 1985
