RESOLUTION NO. 979 A RESOLUTION RELATING TO SUPPORT BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, FOR THE 1985
MEDIC ONE /EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES LEVY.
WHEREAS, the King County Medic One Program is a high quality
program which delivers life saving emergency medical care to all citizens
of King County, and provides for their health and safety, and
WHEREAS, emergency medical services are essential and
should be afforded a stable funding base, and
WHEREAS, in order to assure the continued provision of these
services from 1986 -1991, it is both necessary and appropriate that a
property tax of $.25 per $1,000 of assessed valuation be levied each year
for six years as provided for in King County Ordinance 7343, and
WHEREAS, the previous six -year levy supporting emergency
medical services in King County expires on December 31, 1985.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Tukwila, Washington, to support and assist in the passage of the
1985 Medic One /Emergency Medical Services Levy to be included on the
November 5, 1985, general election ballot.
