RESOLUTION NO. 989
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
OREGON- WASHINGTON RAILROAD AND NAVIGATION COMPANY AND
UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY FOR A LEASE COVERING A
PARCEL OF GROUND ON THE RAILROAD COMPANY'S RIGHT -OF-
WAY IN TUKWILA FOR A PUBLIC SANITARY SEWERAGE LIFT
STATION
WHEREAS, the OREGON- WASHINGTON RAILROAD NAVIGATION COMPANY and
UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY have tendered to the CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, a lease covering a parcel of ground on the Railroad Company's
right -of -way, at Tukwila, Washington for a site for a public sanitary sewerage
lift station, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tukwila has the proposed
agreement before it and has given it careful review and consideration, and
WHEREAS, it is considered that the best interests of said City of
Tukwila, Washington, will be subserved by the acceptance of said agreement
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DU RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
That the terms of the agreement submitted by OREGON- WASHINGTON
RAILROAD AND NAVIGATION COMPANY and UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY as afore-
said be and the same are hereby accepted on behalf of said City, and
That the Mayor of said City is hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to execute said agreement on behalf of said City and that the City
Clerk of said City is hereby authorized and directed to attest said agreement
and to attach to each duplicate original of said agreement a certified copy of
this resolution
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this 20th day of January 1986
