RESOLUTION NO 1009 9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A RELEASE OF A SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT ACROSS
THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE METRO PARK
RIDE LOT SITE.
WHEREAS, The Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle
(hereinafter "Metro currently has plans to develop a Park
Ride Lot on a site located at the intersection of Interurban
Avenue and 52nd Avenue South, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila has a utility easement for
sanitary sewer purposes across the proposed Park Lot, which
the City acquired from G. P. Larson and Margaret J. Larson,
husband and wife, in 1972 by instrument recorded under King County
Auditor's File No. 7210200567, and
WHEREAS, Metro has requested that the City release the
easement and the City Council has determined that the easement is
no longer necessary for the City to provide utility service to the
property, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Release and Authorization to Execute.
The City Council hereby approves that certain document entitled
"Release of Easement" in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A and
incorporated herein by this reference as if set forth in full.
The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute said Release of
Easement on behalf of" the City and thereby release any and all
interest the City has under or by reason of a certain easement
conveyed by G. P. Larson and Margaret J. Larson, husband and wife,
to the City of Tukwila by instrument recorded under King County
Auditor's File No. 7210200567.

RELEASE OF EASEMENT
WHEREAS, by instrument recorded under Auditor's File
No. 8503010434, the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle,
its successors and assigns (hereinafter referred to as "Muni-
cipality"), acquired the following described real property
(hereinafter referred to as the "Property as a portion
of the Tukwila Park and -Ride site:

0 in King County, Washington, described as follows: Beginning
at the west quarter corner of Section 14, Township 23 North,
Range 4 East, W.M., in King County, Washington; thence north
775.84 feet to the southwesterly line of Interurban Avenue
10 South; thence southeasterly along said Avenue line 246.5
feet; thence southwesterly at right angles 100 feet to
the true point of beginning; thence continuing south-
westerly at right angles 135 feet; thence southeasterly
parallel to said Avenue 100 feet; thence northeasterly
at right angles 135 feet; thence northwesterly 100 feet
to the true point of beginning; and
WHEREAS, said Property was acquired subject to a utility
easement granted to the City of Tukwila (hereinafter referred
to as. "City over a portion of the Property as described in
instrument recorded as Auditor's File No. 7210200567, records
of Xing County; and
WHEREAS, said utility easement is no longer needed by the
City fib provide sewer service to the Property, and the Muni-
cipality has requested the release of said easement;
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of Ten and no /100 Dollars
($10.00) to be paid to the City, the City does hereby release
any and all interest arising under or by reason of a certain
easement conveyed by G.P. Larson and Margaret J. Larson, husband
and wife, to the City of Tukwila by instrument recorded as
Auditor's File No. 7210200567, records of King County, Washington.
