HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 1017 - Intent to Accept Gateway Drive as a Public Street RESOLUTION NO. 1017 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, INDICATING THE INTENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO ACCEPT GATEWAY DRIVE AS A PUBLIC STREET WHEN THE SAME IS COMPLETED TO CITY STANDARDS AND DEDICATED TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 969 of the City of Tukwila, the City entered into an agreement with Kaiser Gateway Associates which requires, in return for development approval, that Kaiser Gateway Associates construct certain streets and utilities for dedication and acceptance by the City, and WHEREAS, one of the streets to be constructed is commonly known as Gateway Drive and is intended to be connected to Interurban Avenue, access to which has been limited by the State, and WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation has advised the City Public Works Department that in order to allow Gateway Drive to be connected to Interurban Avenue as part of the construction by Kaiser Gateway Associates, a resolution of the City Council is necessary indicating the Council's intent to accept Gateway Drive as a public street once it is constructed to City standards and dedicated to the City, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Tukwila hereby expresses its intent to accept the dedication of Gateway Drive as a public street belonging to the City of Tukwila upon completion of the street to City standards.
