RESOLUTION NO. 1019 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO APPLY TO
THE KING COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT OFFICE TO UTILIZE 1987 POPULATION FUNDS
FOR THE ATHLETIC PLAYFIELD PROJECT, TO APPLY TO
USE ANY UNCOMMITTED 1986 POPULATION FUNDS FOR
THIS SAME PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on October 20, 1986
to consider potential projects using approximately $15,250 in 1987 Community
Development Block Grant funds, and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined the development of the Athletic
Playfield Project is the most desired, qualified CDBG project, and
WHEREAS, a portion of the 1986 CDBG Population funds may remain un-
spent at the completion of currently approved projects and it is desirable to
recommit these funds to a 1987 project, and
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to apply to the CDBG office for
approval to use the City's 1987 Population funds of approximately $15,250 for
the Athletic Playfield Project.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to request the CDBG office to
assign any unspent 1986 Population funds to the Athletic Playfield Project
after the currently approved projects have been completed and the funds are no
longer needed for the specified projects.
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this go S- day of 1986.
