build a restroom and parking facilities at the City's Bicentennial Park, and
Whereas, due to the unusually wide right -of -way along Strander Boule-
vard and the desire to maintain open space and meet setback requirements for
the restroom, the Parks and Recreation Department has requested a vacation of
a portion of the Strander Boulevard right -of -way lying north of the existing
paved surface, and
Whereas, in accordance with RCW 35 79 010, the City Council has de-
termined that a public hearing should be held for the purpose of considering
said right -of -way vacation,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 A public hearing upon the vacation of certain public
right -of -way generally described as a portion of the Strander Boulevard right
of -way lying north of the existing paved surface shall be held in the City
Council chambers at Tukwila City Hall at 7 00 p m or as soon thereafter as
the matter may be heard, on January 5, 1987, which is not less than twenty
(20) nor more than sixty (60) days from the date of passage of this resolu-
tion, at which time all persons interested in said right -of -way vacation are
invited to appear and be heard
Section 2 The City Clerk is directed to post written notice of
pendency of the public hearing in three public places in the City of Tukwila
and in one additional conspicuous place on the right -of -way sought to be
vacated at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing

THEIR REGULAR MEETING ON THE 1st day of december 1986
