An ordinance approving the assessment roll for the construction of
sidewalks on both sides of Main Street from
Highland Drive to Tukwila Avenue in the Town of Tukwila and
declaring the amounts assessed against the several lots in such
improvement district a lien thereon.
Whereas under and by virtue of Resolution No 5 passed by
the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila under date of
February 13, 1917 the construction at the expense of the
abutting property of sidewalks along each side of Main Street
from Highland Drive to Tukwila Avenue in the Town of Tukwila
was duly ordered and such order approved by the Mayor and
Whereas said sidewalks were thereafter duly constructed
in part by the Town of Tukwila and in part by the several owners
of the abutting lots and
Whereas under date of November 1917 an assessment
roll was duly prepared and filed with the Council of the
Town of Tukwila by the Street Committee setting forth the lots
by their proper descriptions with the names of the owners
thereof and the proportionate amounts to be assessed against the
several lots in said improvement district and
Whereas by appropriate resolution the Council set the
11th day of November 1917 as the date for the hearing
upon said assessment roll and caused due notice of such hearing to
be published in manner and form according to law and
Whereas subsequent to the giving of such notice payment
in full has been made of the amounts proposed to be assessed
against several of the lots the construction of the sidewalks
aforesaid in several other cases having been made by the owners
of the abutting property so that there remains to be paid on
said improvement only the several amounts against the several lots
hereinafter set forth and
Whereas on due hearing had on December 11, 1917
the said assessment roll was duly approved as to the several lots
in said improvement district in the several amounts due thereon.
NOW, THETITORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TH11 TOVrN
OF TUKWILA:

Comzittee of the Town of Tukwila for the side-walks along •both
sides of Main Street between Highland Drive and Tukwila Avenue
in. the Town of Tukwila sand filed with the Town Clerk under date
of November 1917, he and the oame hereby is approved and
in the nums aet opposite the several lots below described;

once become a lien apon the several lots to the extent of said
assessments, bearing interest (it the rate of six per Gent per
annam from the date of this ordinamoe, and shall be oortified to
the County Treasurer of King Countg, Washington, for collection.

Seotion Three. This ordinance ahall take effect within fivedayS
after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
