RESOLUTION NO. 1056
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR LIFT STATION #3 (MINKLER
BOULEVARD SEWER) PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila received four responsive bids from
contractors for purposes of carrying out the construction of work under the
bidding documents for Lift Station #3 (Minkler Boulevard Sewer) Project, and
WHEREAS, all bids received were substantially higher than the engi-
neer's estimate and budgeted amounts programmed to carry out the construction
of this sewer improvement project, and
WHEREAS, the cost to maintain and operate Lift Station #3 for the
next 20 years is projected to be less than the cost of its abandonment under
this contract
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
The City Council hereby rejects all bids received for the Lift
Station #3 (Minkler Boulevard Sewer) Project that were received at the formal
bid opening conducted at 10 00 a m September 30, 1987, at City Hall
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this 19th day of October 1987
