RESOLUTION NO. 1057
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, EXTENDING A WARM WELCOME AND
BEST WISHES TO THE CITIZENS OF IKAWA -CHO, JAPAN.
WHEREAS, Resolution 701 was passed on November 19, 1979, establishing
Tukwila and Ikawa as Sister Cities, and
WHEREAS, Tukwila is honored to welcome the distinguished delegation of
Ikawa citizens to our City, and
WHEREAS, past exchanges have led to better understandings between our
people, and have seen mutual friendships and a sense of extended family grow
between the citizens of Ikawa -cho and the City of Tukwila,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, THAT:
The City extends a sincere and heartfelt welcome to our
visiting delegation from Ikawa, and reaffirms the ties
that bind Tukwila and Ikawa together as Sister Cities.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
special meeting thereof this twelfth day of November, 1987.
