RESOLUTION NO. 1060
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, GRANTING A COST -OF- LIVING
ADJUSTMENT TO NONREPRESENTED EMPLOYEES OF THE
CITY, AND AMENDING AND CONSOLIDATING THE
NONREPRESENTED EMPLOYEES SALARY SCHEDULES
CONTAINED IN APPENDICES "A" OF RESOLUTION
NUMBERS 1015 AND 1041.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed cost -of- living
adjustments granted by surrounding municipal employers, and
has determined that a three percent (3%) adjustment is the
average adjustment being considered for nonrepresented employees,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to maintain it's
competitiveness with surrounding employers and equitably
compensate it's employees,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Cost -of- Living Adjustment. All nonrepresented
regular full -time and regular part -time employees shall be
granted a three percent (3%) cost -of- living adjustment, effective
January 1, 1988.
Section 2. Amended Salary Schedule. The Salary Schedule
attached hereto as Appendix "A and by this reference thereto
incorporated herein as if fully set forth, has been amended by
said three percent (3%) cost -of- living adjustment for 1988.
Said schedule is hereby adopted, effective January 1, 1988.
Section 3. Repeal of Previous Schedules. Previously adopted
salary schedules, as contained in Appendix "A" of Resolution
Numbers 1015 and 1041 are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Mayor's Salary. The Mayor's salary is hereby
increased to $15,531 per year, effective January 1, 1988. Said
salary increase represents a three percent (3%) cost -of- living
adjustment to the Mayor's salary as set by ordinance number 1427
of the Council.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, at a regular meeting thereof this twenty -first day
of December, 1987.
