RESOLUTION NO. 1061
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tukwila has
determined that construction of approximately 1,800 lineal feet
of 10 inch diameter gravity sewer line should be constructed from
an existing sewer main in Southcenter Parkway at Minkler
Boulevard north to approximately Strander Boulevard, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to consider the
formation of a Local Improvement District to be composed of those
properties specially benefited by the proposed sanitary sewer
main line improvement as a means of financing the construction
thereof, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 35.43.140, the City Council desires
to initiate said LID by resolution and to set a date for a public
hearing on the formation of said LID as required by statute, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Declaration of Intention. The City Council of
the City of Tukwila, Washington, hereby declares its intent to
order the construction of approximately 1,800 lineal feet of
sanitary sewer main along Southcenter Parkway as set forth in
section 2.
Section 2. Nature of Extent of Improvement. The

IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT IN ORDER TO PAY FOR SAID
IMPROVEMENT, SETTING FORTH THE NATURE AND
TERRITORIAL EXTENT OF THE IMPROVEMENT AND FIXING
THE DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING UPON THE FORMATION OF
SUCH IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT.

improvement which is the subject of the proposed Local
Improvement District is hereby declared to be the construction of
approximately 1,800 lineal feet of 10 inch diameter gravity sewer
main line extending from an existing sewer main in Southcenter
Parkway at Minkler Boulevard north to approximately Strander
Boulevard. The improvement shall be constructed in accord with
plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Public
Works Department and may be modified by the City Council as long
as such modification does not affect the purpose of the
improvement.
Section 3. Hearing Date. Pursuant to RCW 35.43.140 -.150,
the date, time and place for a public hearing to be held
concerning formation of the Local Improvement District
comtemplated by this resolution and at which all persons who
desire to object thereto may appear and present their objections,
shall be Mar. 7 1988 at 7 :00 p.m. in the City Council chambers
of the Tukwila City Hall, 6200 Southcenter Boulevard, Tukwila,
Washington. The hearing shall be held before the City Council.
Section 4. Publication. This resolution shall be published
in at least two consecutive issues of the official newspaper of
the City, the first publication to be at least 15 days of the day
fixed for the hearing.
Section 5. Additional Notice To Property Owners Duties of
City Clerk. The City Clerk shall give notice of the hearing set
by this resolution to the owners or reputed owners of all lots,
tracks, and parcels of land or other property to be specially
benefited by the proposed improvement, as shown on the rolls of
the county assessor, by mailing such notice at least 15 days
before the day fixed for the hearing to the address shown on such
rolls. The notice shall set forth the nature of the proposed
improvement, the estimated cost, and the estimated benefits to
the particular lot, tract, or parcel.
