RESOLUTION NO. 1075
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HONORING THE MEMORY OF THE
HONORABLE AVERY GARRETT, SENATOR.
WHEREAS, Senator Garrett was a very respected and popular public
official, and
WHEREAS, as a State Representative and Senator for many years, Senator
Garrett represented and served the citizens of the llth District, and
WHEREAS, Avery was always a friend of and was very responsive to the
citizens and officials of Tukwila, and
WHEREAS, he was always courteous in returning calls, responding to
inquiries, and hosting visitors to his office, and
WHEREAS, Senator Garrett had an excellent knowledge of City issues and
represented Tukwila's interests many times,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TUKWILA to honor
Senator Avery Garrett's memory as an outstanding citizen, Representative of the
llth District, and friend to Tukwila; and offer sincere condolences to his wife
Edna and family.
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this 16th day of May 1988.
