MEREAS, under and by virtue of a resolution passed by the Council of the Toy-in of Tukwila under date of July 11th, 1916, the construction at the expense of the abutting prop- erty of a side walk along the IZorth side of Main Street from the New Pacific Highway to the intersection of said Fain Street with Highland Drive in the Town of Tukwila was daly ordered and such order approved by the Mayor, and, Whereas said walk rvas thereafter duly constructed, in part by the Town of Tukwila and in part by the several owners of the several abutting; lots, and, Uhereas, under date of December 12th, 1916, an assessment roll was duly prepared and filed with the Council of the Town of Tukwila by the Street Committee, setting forth the lots, by their proper descriptions, with the names of the owners thereof and the ,proportionate amounts to be assessed against the several lots in said improvement district, and, Whereas, by appropriate resolution the Council set the 12th day of January, 1917, as the date of the hearing upon said assessment roll and caused due, notice of such hearing to be published. in manner and form according to law, and, :"hereas, subsequent to the giving of such notice payment in Full of the amounts proposed to be assessed against the several lots lots has been made in some instances and partial payment has been made in others, so that there remains to be paid thereon only the several amounts against the several lots hereinbelow set forth, and, Whereas, on due hearing had on January 12th, 1917 the said assessment roll was duly approved as to the several lots in said improvement district in the several amounts due thereon, now, therefore, Be it ordained by the Council of the town of Tukwila: Section one That the assessment roll prepared by the Street Committee of the Town of Tukwila for the sidewalk along the North side of Main Street from the new Pacific highway to the intersection of said Main Street with Highland Drive in the Town of Tukwila and filed with the Town Clerk under date of December 12, 1916 be and the same hereby is approved for and in the sums set opposite the several lots below described Lot 24 Block 8 Hillman Rhoda A. Kerr Seattle Garden Tracts Lot 23 Block 8 Hillman Louis Koss Lot 25 Block 8 Hillman Emily G. Demaray Mrs. Ed T. White Lot 26 Lot 27 Lot 30 Block 8 Hillman Anna M. Monster Section two That the several above specified amounts shall at once become a lien upon the several lots to the extent of said assessments bearing interest at the rate of six percent per annum from the date of this ordinance and shall be certified to the County Treasurer of King County Washington for collection recording to law. Section Three This ordinance shall take effect within five days after its passage and approval by the Mayor. Passed the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila and signed by me in authentication of its passage this 12th day of January 1917.
