RESOLUTION NO. 1083 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR CON-
STRUCTION OF THE NORTH HILL RESERVOIR AND PUMP
STATION, PHASE I EXCAVATION.
WHEREAS, two bids were received from contractors to carry out the
construction of the North Hill Reservoir and Pump Station, Phase I excavation,
and
WHEREAS, on September 8, 1987, the City Council authorized award of a
contract to the low bidder, Scoccolo Construction, Inc., subject to the City
obtaining the required easements, and
WHEREAS, access to the easements has recently been obtained, however,
due to the long period of time since the bid award, Scoccolo Construction is
unwilling to enter into a contract based upon the September 1987 bids, and
WHEREAS, at the Regular Meeting of the City Council held on July 18,
1988, Council approved a motion to reject the two bids received for construction
of the North Hill Reservoir and Pump Station Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The City Council hereby confirms the action taken on July 18, 1988, and
rejects all bids received for construction of the North Hill Reservoir and Pump
Station, Phase I Excavation, that were presented at the formal bid opening con-
ducted at 10:00 a.m. on September 1, 1987, at City Hall.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this day of 1988.
