RESOLUTION NO. 1091
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
ENDORSING THE SOUTH CENTRAL SCHOOL
DISTRICT'S PROPOSITION I AND II.
WHEREAS, the South Central School District has been involved in a
continuing district -wide process to improve school facilities; and
WHEREAS, Foster High School has many deficiencies including
leaky roofs, cracked beams, broken heating pipes, inadequate wiring
and asbestos; and
WHEREAS, additional computers and technology for students will
assist student learning and enable students to be computer literate; and
WHEREAS, a new day care center is needed in South Central
because the space at Cascade View for day care is overcrowded; and
WHEREAS, passage of Proposition I on November 8, 1988 will
provide general obligation bonds for South Central School District to
build a new Foster High School and purchase computer and technology
equipment for all five district schools, and
WHEREAS, passage of Proposition II on November 8, 1988 will
provide general obligation bonds for South Central School District to
build a new day care center;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Tukwila Council
endorses South Central's Proposition I and II in the November 8, 1988
election.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASH-
INGTON, at a regular meeting thereof this 7th day of November 1988.
