RESOLUTION NO. 1106
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA AUTHORIZING SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF
TRACONEX SIGNAL CONTROLLERS FROM SAFETY SIGNAL
OF MOUNTLAKE TERRACE.
WHEREAS, the Tukwila City Council has budgeted $101,000 for
signal controllers; and
WHEREAS approximately half of the existing controllers are
Traconex sold by Safety Signal; and
WHEREAS these units have proven reliable and are the King
County and Bellevue standard; and
WHEREAS having a single type reduces the amount of training
for personnel, inventory for parts, repair times, and other
operation maintenance features; and
WHEREAS there is only one source of these units in Washington
and they continue to provide excellent service and help;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Tukwila, Washington, that:
Public Works is authorized to buy Traconex signal controllers from
Safety Signal using the Bellevue contract bid prices through 1990.
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, at a regular meeting thereof this 5th day of June 1989.
