RESOLUTION NO. 1115
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON FIXING THE TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING UPON A
PETITION FOR VACATION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY
WITHIN THE CITY OF TUKWILA GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS A
PORTION OF SOUTH 168TH STREET, WEST OF SOUT ICENTER
PARKWAY.
WHEREAS, Matt M. Mikami and Puget Sound Power and Light Company have
filed a petition with the City Clerk for vacation of certain right -of -way generally described as
a portion of South 168th Street lying west of Southcenter Parkway, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has determined that said petition was signed by the
owners of more than two- thirds of the property abutting the right -of -way sought to be
vacated, and
WHEREAS, In accordance with RCW 35.79.010, the City Council will hold a public
hearing for the purpose of considering said petition for right -of -way vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A public hearing upon the petition of Matt M. Mikami and Puget Sound
Power and Light Company for vacation of certain public right -of -way generally described as
a portion of South 168th Street lying west of Southcenter Parkway shall be held before the
Tukwila City Council in the City Council Chambers at Tukwila City Hall, 6200 Southcenter
Blvd., Tukwila, Washington, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard
on November 20, 1989, which is not less than twenty (20) nor more than sixty (60) days from
the date of passage of this resolution, at which time all persons interested in said right -of-
way of vacation are invited to appear and be heard.
Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to post written notice of pendency of the public
hearing in three public places in the City of Tukwila and in one additional conspicuous place
on the right -of -way sought to be vacated at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for
hearing.
