RESOLUTION NUMBER WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 1127 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, EXPRESSING SINCERE THANKS TO MABEL J. HARRIS, COUNCILMEMBER. WHEREAS, Ms. Harris was first elected to City office as Treasurer in 1964, where she served until her election to the City Council, and WHEREAS, Ms. Harris was elected to the Tukwila City Council first in 1977, and again in 1981 and 1985, and has represented citizens of Tukwila for twelve years has served as City Council President twice in her Council tenure, and WHEREAS, her representation as a Tukwila Councilmember on intergovernmental boards and commissions has greatly benefitted Tukwila's standing in the region, and Whereas, Ms. Harris' expertise on transportation has made her a valuable and respected resource to both the City and the Puget Sound, and WHEREAS, Ms. Harris has demonstrated wit, good common sense and considerable knowledge, which will be greatly missed by the City Council, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: On behalf of the citizens of Tukwila, the Mayor and City Councilmembers express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Mae Harris for her twelve years of service on the City Council and for all her activities serving the City RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON the 2nd day of January 1990.
