RESOLUTION NO. 1150 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, ACCEPTING DONATIONS TO THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE D.A.R.E. PROGRAM
FOR USE IN PURCHASING EDUCATION MATERIALS
AND THANKING THOSE WHO MADE
CONTRIBUTIONS.
WHEREAS, the following have made financial contributions toward the support of a
"Drug Abuse Resistance Education" (D.A.R.E.) program:
The Southcenter Rotary Club donates $1,509.13, as proceeds
received in the sponsorship and facilitation of the City of
Tukwila 1990 Tukwila Days D.A.R.E. Dash.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Davis donate $100, as a D.A.R.E.
program gift in memory of former City Councilmember R. A.
Radford.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tukwila wishes to accept these
contributions and to recognize those who so generously made them, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it fitting to publicly acknowledge and record
the donations and express their appreciation upon the official record of this City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Tukwila hereby accept the contribution of $1,509.13 to the
D.A.R.E. program from Southcenter Rotary Club.
Section 2. The City of Tukwila hereby accepts the contribution of $100 to the
D.A.R.E. program from Mr. and Mrs. Davis.
Section 3. the City of Tukwila hereby expresses its gratitude and appreciation for
their generous contributions. The City commends and recognizes each of the contributors.
Section 4. A copy of this resolution is to be recorded in the permanent record of
the City and a certified copy of the resolution given to a representative to express the .City
Council's appreciation for the contribution.
