13yp A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
RESOLUTIONS NO. 1125 AND 1143 BY ADDING
POSITIONS TO THE NON REPRESENTED EMPLOYEE
SALARY SCHEDULE WHICH WERE PREVIOUSLY
APPROVED BY BUDGET ORDINANCE, AND PROVIDING
THE CITY ATTORNEY WITH CERTAIN EMPLOYEE
BENEFITS.
WHEREAS, the Council has previously approved new positions in the budget, and it
is appropriate to amend the salary schedule, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the need for full time legal services from
the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, it has been agreed that a City Attorney will work in -house and be paid
through the current legal services agreement, and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to provide certain employee benefits to the City
Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWH A,
WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Addition of Previously Approved Positions.
PUBLIC WORKS 1. Heavy Equipment Mechanic
2. Public Works Coordinator
CITY ADMINISTRATION 1. Assistant to the City Administrator
Section 2. Amended Salary Schedule. Resolution No. 1143, Non Represented
Employee Salary Schedule, Appendix "A" is hereby amended by this reference and
incorporated herein as if fully set forth.
Section 3. Addition of Emplovee Benefits for City Attornev. The City Attorney's
employee benefits provided by the City of Tukwila shall be limited to the following:
1. Disability Insurance
2. Life Insurance
3. Medical Insurance
4. Dental Insurance
5. Vision /Optical/Hearing Care
Section 4. Amended Benefits. Resolution No. 1125, Non Represented Employee
Benefits, Appendix 'B" is hereby amended by this reference, and incorporated as if fully set
forth.
Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective immediately.

APPENDIX B
UNREPRESENTED EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
SOCIAL SECURITY (FICA)
Social Security benefits shall be provided as contained in Section 2.52.010 of the Tukwila
Municipal Code.
STATE -WIDE EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEM (PERSI
Retirement shall be provided as contained in Section 2.52.020 of the Tukwila Municipal
Code.
HOLIDAYS
Holidays shall be provided as contained in Section 2.52.030 of the Tukwila Municipal Code.
SICK LEAVE
Sick leave shall be provided as contained in Section 2.52.040 of the Tukwila Municipal
Code.
MEDICAL INSURANCE
The City shall pay 100% of the premium for the regular full-time employee and all
dependents under the City of Tukwila self insured medical/dental plan or Group Health
Cooperative. Regular part-time employees shall be entitled to benefits on a pro -rata basis.
DENTAL INSURANCE
The City shall provide 100% of the premium for the regular full-time employee and all
dependents under the City of Tukwila self insured medical/dental plan. Regular part-time
employees shall be entitled to benefits on a pro -rata basis.
LIFE INSURANCE
For regular full-time employees, the City shall pay the premium for Plan C (Multiple of
annual earnings) or similar group life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance
policy. Said plan shall be at 100 of annual earnings rounded up to the next $1,000.
VISION/OPTICALAML4MG CARE
The City shall reimburse the regular full-time employee up to a cumulative maximum of
$150.00 per year for vision/optical/hearing care for the employee or any dependents.
Regular part-time employees shall be entitled to benefits on a pro -rata basis.
DISABILITY INSURANCE
The city administrator, personnel officer, and department heads shall to be provided with
the current or similar long term disability insurance plan.
VACATION
Annual vacation leave shall accrue at the rate of six (6) full days (six 8 hour periods)
following the sixth (6th) month of continuous employment and after regular status has been
granted, and an additional one (1) day's annual leave shall accrue for each month of
continuous employment thereafter. Annual leave shall accrue at the employee's anniversary
date at the rate of fifteen (15) days after the third (3rd), fourth (4th) and fifth (5th) years.
After six (6) years, the employee shall be granted one (1) day per year additional annual
leave to a maximum of twenty days per year.
UNIFORM ALLOWANCE
An annual uniform allowance of $350.00 shall be granted to the following employees:
deputy fire chief, assistant fire chief, assistant police chief; fire chief, police chief.
