WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 1168 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, APPROVING AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH CITIES OF KENT,
RENTON AND AUBURN FOR THE PURPOSE OF
OBTAINING GROUND LADDER TESTING EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, the cities of Tukwila, Renton, Kent and Auburn recognize the desirability
of jointly obtaining and utilizing ground ladder testing equipment for improved fire protection;
and
WHEREAS, the completion of this multi jurisdictional agreement requires that an
interlocal agreement be adopted among the affected jurisdictions pursuant to Chapter 39.34,
RCW;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all material respects and
the referenced interlocal agreement is based on such recitals.
Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Tukwila is hereby authorized to execute an
appropriate interlocal agreement in substantially, if not identically, the same form as the attached
agreement in order to effect its stated purpose.
Section 3. If any section, sentence, clause, or phrase of this resolution is found to be
invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or
unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence,
clause or phrase of this resolution.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a regular meeting thereof this 7 day of C 11991.
