RESOLUTION NO. 1172
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, REQUESTING AN ALL
DAY BUS SERVICE FROM SEATTLE THROUGH
TUKWILA TO AUBURN ON E. MARGINAL
WAY /INTERURBAN AVE. S./W. VALLEY RD.
WHEREAS, the E. Marginal Way/Interurban Ave. S./W. Valley Road Corridor is a
major transportation corridor; and
WHEREAS, an all day bus route with 30 minute service would provide an alternative
means of transportation for auto trips in this corridor; and
WHEREAS, it would benefit Metro, corridor travelers, and the Duwamish/Green River
Valley,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That Metro initiate, budget for, and implement an all day bus route
with 30 minute service from Seattle through Tukwila to Auburn along
E. Marginal Way/Interurban Ave. S./W. Valley Road.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a regular meeting thereof this day of '1991.
