HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0055 - Extension and Widening of Certain Streets and Highways ORDINANCE NO 55 -4- ORDI- NAINCE providing for thelaying off', opening, widening, extending and establishment of public streets and -highways within the Town of Tukwil% such streets and highways to be known as Hazel Avenue, Warren Avenue South and Clarence Avenue, said Hazel Avenue beginning on Division Street at the corner dividing Lots Five (5) and Six (6) of the Interurban Addition, running.hhence West for a distance of six hundred fifty. (650) feet; thence North over warren Avenue South to Clarence Avenue, .a distance -of six hundred sixty (660) feet; thence widening Clarence Avenue thirty (30) feet for a dis- tance of sixty (60).feet. west; and providing for the condemn- ation, appropriation, taking and damaging of the land and other property necessary therefor* �T public necessity and convenience demand that the above named highways be laid off, opened, widened and extended as public streets and avenues, NOIV, THEREFORE, BE I R 0_� AIM 3Y THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA Section One. That public streets and highways to be known as fiAZF'L AVRNUE, beginning at the dividing line between Lots Five (5) and Six (6) of the Interurban Addition on Division Street in the Town of Tukwila running thence 'Vest six hundred fifty (650) feet; thence due North over a street or highway to be known as 'VA_ P +'?T ASTF`IMP. SOUTH for a distance of six hundred sixty (660) feet to Clarence Avenue; thence due West along Clarence Avenue for a distance of sixty (60) feet, all in the Town of Tukwila, be, and the same hereby are, laid off, opened, Widened, extended and established as public streets and high- ways over and across the following lots, tracts and parcels of land, t o -wit i IN IIdTF;RURBA?11 ADDITION. That portion of Lot Six (6) described as follows; "'3e- inning at a point on the east boundary of said lotoon Division Street twenty (20) feet south of the north line of said lot, thence due west six hundred fiftyJ650) feeti thence north twenty (20) feeti thence due east six hundred fifty (650) feet; thence south twenty (20) feet to place of beginnin; That portion of Lot Five (5) described as follows "Beginning at a point on the east boundary'of said lot 'on Division Street t %yenty (20) feet north of the south line of said lot, thence due .west six hundred. fifty(650) feet; thence south twenty (20) feat;.thence east six hundred fifty (6:50) feet; thence north twenty (20) feet to place of beginning ITT I??TERTJR3AIN ADDITIOY BROOXVALE G.ARDE'IT TRACT'S AYD DISPITUM AREA BEITIERY TWO SAID ADDITIONS. That portion of Lot Five (5) Interurban Addition; Lot Forty -one (41) Bkookva,le Garden Tracts, Lot Forty-two(42) Brookvale Garden Tracts and the disputed area lying between said additions described as follows, to -wit "Beginning at apoint six hundred ten (610) feet west of a point twenty (20) feet north of the dividing corner between lots Five (5} and Six (6) of the Interurban Addition on Division Street; thence due north three hundred ten (310) feet thence west forty (40) feet i thence south three hundred ten 1310) feet; thence east forty (40 feet to place of begin- ning That portion of Tot flour (4) Interurban Addition; Tot Forty -two (42) Brookvale Garden Tracts and the disputed area between said additions described as follows; ":Beginning at a point six hundred ten (610) feet west of -a point three hundred thirty (33 feet north of the dividing corner between Lots Five (5) and Six (6) of the Interurban Addition on Division Street, thence due north three hundred thirty 1330) feet, more or less, to the north line of said Interurban Addition, produced west, on Clarence Avenue; thence due �vset forty (40) feet; thence south three hundred thirty (330) feet; thence east to place of beginning That portion of Tot Your (4) Interurban Addition, Lot Fort (4?) Brookvale Garden Tracts and the disputed area lying; between the two said additions described as follows; "Beginning at a point on the north line of the Interurban Addition, produced west six hundred -fifty (550) feet west of the north -east corner of Lot four (4) of said addition, thence nest sixty (60) feet; thence south thirty (30) feet; thence east sixty (60) feet; thence north thirtyT (30) feet to place of beginning" Section Two. That all the lands, rights privileges and other property lying within the limits of said lots, tracts or parcels of land _described in this ordinance be, and the same hereby are, condemned, taken, appropriated and damaged for the public use for the purpose of public streets and highTays forever. Section Three. That the Corporation Counsel of the Town of Tu?s-aila be, and he herebir is, authorized and directed to begin and prosecute the actions and proceedings, in the manner pre- scribed by law, to condemn, take, damage and appropriate the lands and other property necessary to carry out the provisions of' this ordinance. Section Four. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. Section Five.
