RESOLUTION NO. 1182 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF SEATTLE FOR THE
PURPOSE OF JOINTLY EVALUATING AND POTENTIALLY
PURCHASING 800 MEGAHERTZ TWO -WAY TRUNKED
RADIO SYSTEMS.
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila and the City of Seattle recognize the need to
evaluate and potentially acquire sophisticated 800 Megahertz radio systems for
emergency and other public service; and
WHEREAS, the parties agree to undertake such services jointly in order to
maximize efficiency and minimize cost; and
WHEREAS, the completion of this multi jurisdictional agreement requires that an
interlocal agreement be adopted between the affected jurisdictions pursuant to Chapter
39.34, RCW;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all material
respects and the referenced interlocal agreement is based on such recitals.
Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Tukwila is hereby authorized to execute an
appropriate interlocal agreement in substantially, if not identically, the same form as the
attached agreement in order to effect its stated purpose.
Section 3. If any section, sentence, clause, or phrase of this resolution is found
to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or
unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section,
sentence, clause or phrase of this resolution.
