CITY OF TUKWILA
WASHINGTON V RESOLUTION NO. 1187 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, COMMENDING THE PARRS AND RECREATION
DEPARTMENT FOR EXEMPLIFYING "EXCELLENCE IN ACTION"
IN PLANNING, COORDINATING AND HOLDING TUKWILA DAYS,
1991.
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department worked long hours and
took on many extra duties in order to plan and implement successful
Tukwila Days events, and
WHEREAS, their positive attitudes, enthusiasm and extra hours were
an example of the city's theme of "Excellence in Action and
WHEREAS, the events were planned around an international theme, and
appealed to a wide variety of residents and business citizens, and
WHEREAS, sports events in golf, tennis and softball; music and
theater concerts; children and family events in swimming and field
events; a senior picnic; and a community -wide parade and festival
involving the whole city were held, and
WHEREAS, all the events were well attended, and enjoyed by a
variety of residential and business citizens,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, DO HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
On behalf of the citizens of Tukwila, the Mayor and City
Council do hereby express their appreciation and sincere
thanks to the Parks and Recreation Department for "Excellence
In Action" in planning, coordinating, and staffing Tukwila
Days, July 5- 13,1991.
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCJL OF TU ILA, WASHINGTON, at
a regular meeting thereof this /!T day of L 1991.
