PAG F We are returning to you under separate cover the above subject plan which has been checked for conformance with the Uniform Building Code and following are the comments of our plans checkers This set of plans is extremely minimum therefore, difficult to attempt a comprehensive plans check. Close inspection is needed to see that this structure will conform to code provisions. 1. Roof coverings should be fire retardant. Section 1603 (a) or 1704. Details or specifications complying with Section 3203 (e) are required. 2. Nonabsorbent finish and backing for toilet room walls and floor should conform to Section 1711 (a). 3. Final layouts and details should be submitted prior to installation to justify with occupancy, and exit requirements in the warehouse area. 4. Light and ventilation should comply with Section 1105. 5. mechanical ventilating system in baths should provide a five- minute change of air directly to the outside. 6. Conforming exits are required from the areas below as specified in Section 3302 (a). The warehouse contains only one,, approved exit. 7. Exits should be spaced at least a distance apart equal to one =fifth the perimeter of the room or area served. Section 3302 (c). Note that "perimeter" is along the outer boundary of the room or area served. 1;� t Page -2- 8. No point of the warehouse should be more than 270 feet from an exterior exit, horizontal exit, enclosed stairway, or exit passageway. Section 3302 (d). 9. Exit doors should swing in the direction of egress. Section 3303 (b). 10. Exit doors should be openable from the inside without the use of a key, special knowledge, or effort. Section 3303 (c). 11. Every required exit door is required to be a minimum size of 3' -0" x 6' -8" with a minimum door swing of 90 degrees. Section 3303 (d). 12. A floor or landing not more than two inches below the threshold is required on each side of an exit door. Section 3303 (h). 13. Exit doors should provide immediate access to an approved means of egress. Section 3303 (g). Exiting into or through another room is not acceptable. 14. Corridors should have a minimum width of 44 inches. Section 3304 (b). 15. Walls and ceilings of corridors shouldbe of one -hour fire resistive construction. Section 3304. 16. An approved automatic fire extinguishing system is required. Section 3801. 17. Fire extinguishing system plans should be submitted to the building official to determine compliance with applicable build- ing and plumbing codes. 18. Check with the Fire Marshall regarding location of fire extinguishers. 19.
