A resolution concerning the building of sidewalks on both sides of Main Street from Highland Drive to
tukwila Avenue in the City of Tukwila.
Whereas the Supreintendattt of Streets and the Street
C wmi i t t ee of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila have
reported to the Town Council that the public safety and con-
venience demand anti require that side -walks be constructed on
both sides of Main Street beginning at the south side of the
intersection of Highland Drive with said Main Street and con
tinuing along said Main Street to the north side side of the
intersection thereof with Tukwila Avenue in the Town of Tukwil
NO'''T, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLYTD, That a board side
walk, on each side of Main Street, commencing at the south- side
of the intersection of said Main Street with Highland Drive
and running thence along both sides of said Main Street to the
north side of the intersection of said Main Street with Tuk-
wila Avenue in the Town of Tukwila, be constructed at the
expense of the abutting property, in the side -walk area on each
side of said Main Street, to -wit, between the margin on
either side of said street and the roadway lying in front
thereof.
Said side walks to be constructed of sound fir
lumber: 2" X 6" surfaced boards to be laid between each
plank; each plank to The nailed with 2 16 penny nails to each
bearing;
to have three 4" X sleepers, blocked every six
feet with Cedar blocking; Joints to be _tailed to each other;
All l' be:r to be A merchantable fir free from any and all
defects that would impair its strength or appearance; Talks
to be laid to a true line of grade, points of grade to he
given by Superintendant of Streets; all work to be done in a
workmanlike manner to the satisfaction of superintendant of
streets.
The abutting property in front of and adjacent to
which,said side walks are to be constructed, together with the
approximate cost to each lot and the name of the owner thereof
is as follows:

And DR IT FURTHER p` SOLI /Ja) that notice, in the manner
provided by law, be liven to the several owners of the property
above described ordering the construction of the above de-
scribed walks and that there be provided in such notice that
unless said walks shall have been constructed on or before
April a 0 1917, the Town of Tukwila, will on that date
construct said walks and cause the expense of such construction
to be assessed against the owners of the several lots in front
of which said walks are to be constr xcted8
