HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0010 - Sidewalk Construction on Tukwila AvenueResolution No 10 concerning the building of a .sidewalk on the South side of Tukwila Avenue from Main Street to Warren Avenue. t' /JthRi AJ, The Superintendent of Streets end the Street Committee of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila have reported to the Town Council that the public safety and convenience demand and require that a sidewalk be constructed on the South side of Tukwila Avenue, 'beginning at the )last side of the intersection of Main Street and Tukwila Avenue, and continuing along said Tukwila Avenue to the West side of its intersection with Warren Avenue in the Town of Tukwila, NOW, T}URIFOR1;, BE IT RESOLVED: That a. board sidewalk, on the South side of Tukwila Avenue, commencing at the Fast side of the intersection of said Tukwila Avenue with Main Street, and running thence along the South side of the said Tukwila Avenue to the West side of the intersection of the said Tukwila Avenue with Marren Avenue in the Town of Tukwila, be constructed at the expense of the abutting property, in the sidewalk area on the South side of said Tukwila Avenue, to -wit: Between the margin on the South side of said Avenue and the roadway lying in front thereof. Said sidewalk to be constructed of sound fir lumber; 2" x 6" surfaced boards to be laid in between each plank; each plank to be nailed with Two 16 -penny nails to each bearing; to have three (3) 4" x 4" sleepers, blocked every six (6) feet with Cedar blocking; joints to be nailed to each other. All lumber to be No. 1 mer.chentable fir free from any and all defects that would impair its strength or appearance. 4a1ks to be laid to a true line of grade, points, of grade to be given by Superintendent of Streets. All work to be done in a workmanlike ,manner to the satisfaction of Superintendent of Streets.
