Resolution 12 was amended or repealed by the
following resolutions.

RLSOLUTION NO, 12
A RESOLUTION Concerning the construction in Tukwile, King
County Stato of Washington, of Plank Sidewalks, as follows,
to -wit:
The construction of a. sidewalk on each side of Alain Street,,
from ito intersection with Tukwila, Avenue to its and at Clarence
Avenue,
The construction of a. sidewalk -on the North side of Tukwila
Avenue, from its intersection with Rainier Avenue to its inter
section with Kenney Boulevard,
The construction of a. sidewalk on the North side of Tukwila.
Avenue from Its intersection with Kenney Boulevard to its interM
section with Riverside Avenue; and
The construction of a sidewalk on the Nortb side of Tukwila
Avenue, from its intersection with Riverside Avenue to its inter
cootion with Main Street.
The construction of a sidewalk on the West side of Reitz Avenue,
from its intersection. with Pain Street to its intersection yr ith
a point on or about ort the line between Lots 10 and 11, in Block
15,
East side of
The Construction of e. sidewalk on theZKenney Boulevard from its
intersection with Tukwila. Avenue to its intersection with Clarence
Avenue; and
The Construction of a sidewalk on the North side of Clarenoo
Avenue from its intersection with Kenney Boulevard to its inter-
section with Riverside Avenue.
All in the Town of Tukwila., County of King and State of Washington.

structed in the Town of Tukwila, along Streets, Avenues or Boulevards, in the manner
foll.oxdrg, to -wit
First; Beginning at the South side of the intersection of Tukwila Avenue vifh
Main Street, and continuing along said fain Street on both the East and Wost
sides thereof,. to the intersection of said ?fain Street with the North side of
Clurance Avenue,
Second: Beginning at the East side of the intersection of Rainier Avenue with
Tu wilc! Avenue and continuing along the North side of said Tukwila Avenue to
the intersection thereof with Kenney Boulevard.
Third; Beginning at the East side of the intersection of Kenney Boulevard with
Tuks«ila A venuo and continuing along the North side of said Tukwilaa. Avenue to the
West side of its intersection with Riverside Avenue.
Fourth: Beginning at the East side of the intersection of Riverside Avenue with
Tukwila Avenue and coutinui,ng along the Noitth aide of said Tukwila, Avenue to the
West side of its intersection with Main Street.
Fifth: Beginning at the South side of the intersection of Main Street with
Reitz Avenue and continuing along the West side of said Reitz Avenus to its inter-
section with a point on or about on the line between Lots 10 and 11, in Block 15.
Sixth: Beginning: at the South side of the intersection of Tukwila Avenue,, a
Kenney Boulevard abd contir-ming along-' -the East side of said Kenney Boulevard to.

Seventh; Beginning at the East side of the intersection of Kenney Boulevard
with Clarence Avenue and continuing along the North side of said Clarence Avenue
to its intersection with the West side of Riverside Avenue. And,
WHEREAS, The Superintendent of Streets and the Street Committee of Tukwila Town
Council report that extensive improvements to various Street$, Avenues or Boulevards,
more or less affecting the above contemplated construction of Sidewalks in said Town,
in about to be'commenccid, and recommending that these two improvemente be carried on
co-incidentally, so far as is practicable,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF TUKWILA, That Plank Sidewalks
in the various districts as above set forth be constructed at the expense of the
abutting several propertiee in said districts, in the sidewalk area of the several
streets affected or mentioned in this Resolution, to -wit: Between the margin of the
abutting property on the East and West sides of Main Street;and the roadway lying in
front thereof; between the margin of the abutting property on the North side of
Tukwila. Avenue and the roadway lying in front thereof; between the margin of the
property abutting on the West side of Reitz Avenue and the roadway lying in front
thereof; between the margin of the abutting property on the East side of Kenney
Boulevard and the roadway lying in front thereof, end between the margin of the
abutting property on the North side of Clarence Avenue and the roadway lying in front
thereof. And,
BF IT FURTHER RESOLVE]), That said sidewalks as above set out and enumerated, with
the exception of the sidewalk on Kenney Boulevard and Clarence Avenue, which will
be dealt with in a separate specification, shall be Six (6) feet wide; shall be con-
structed in a uniform manner andoof uniform materiel, throughout the districts to
which this particular epec:i.fi.caatione shall apply, in strict accordance with the follow-
ing, to-wit:
(a) These sidewalks shall be constructed of sound, No. 1 Merchantable Fir
lumber, free from any and all defects which would in anywise impair its strength,
dv.rebility or appearance.
(b) The materiel of which these sidewalks will be constructed shall be 2 -inch
by 6 -inch surfaced boards (2 x 8 -inch material may be used if it is found impossible
or inexpedient to obtain 2 x 6 -inch materiel), to be laid one fourth inch apart, and
each board to be nailed at each bearing with two (2) 16 -ponny nails.
(c) These sidewalks shall rest upon three (3) bearings or sleepers which are to
be of the same class of material,as regards quality, as is mentioned in the first
paragraph of this Specification, and each bearing or sleeper to be 4 -inch by 4 -inch
in dimension, and to be supported or blocked every six (6) feet by good, round Cedar
blocking. Joints of these sleepers or bearings to be well nailed together and to be
broken in every instance by at least the distance between any two blocks or supports.
(d) These sidewalks are to be laid to a true line of grade, the points of which
grade to be given by Superintendent of Streets.
(e) All viork to be done in a neat and workmanlike manner and to the complete
satisfaction of Superintendent of Streets and the Street Committee of the Town Council.
And,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sidewalks on Kenney Boulevard and Clarence
Avenue referred to in paragraphs six and seven of this Resolution shall be three (3)
feet wide; shall be constructed of material of the same quality as specified in
paragraph (A) above, of 2 x 12 -inch plank of suitable lengths laid on adequate sup
porta or sleepers and in conformity with paragraphs (d) and (e).
The abutting property in front of and adjacent to which these sidwalks are to be
constructed, together with the approximate cost to each lot, and the name of the
owner and his or her last known address, all appear in the following schedule;
All Streets, Avenues and Boulevards mentioned in this Resolution, as well as all
property affected thereby is situated in the To of Tukwila, but the technice.l descrip-
tions of the various Lots, Blocks, Tracts or Parcels of land, appearing in the records
in the office of the Auditor of King County, Washington, refer to the Incorporated
Municipality known as the "Town of Tukwila" under the name "Hillman's
Tracts They are identical,

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Notice, in the manner provided by Lary, be given
to the several. Owners of the property above described, ordering the construction of
the above described walks, and that there be provided in such Notice that nnleas aaid
walls shalt have been constructed en or before September 13t, A. D. 1919, the Towi'i of
Tukwila wi11, on that date, begin the construction of said wa-].lks and cause the ex.
pens() of such construction to ,be asseseed against the owners of the several lots in
front of which said walks are to be constructed,
