Lot 1 and the West 22 feet of Lot 20, all in Block 1, A. 0. Berge Addition
to the Town of Tukwila.
WHEREAS, public safety and convenience demand and require that a sidewalk
be constructed on the North side of .Tukwila Avenue, beginning at a point 22 feet
east of the line between Lots 1 and 20, Block 1, A.G.Berg's Addition to the Town
of Tukwila, and continuing to the West side of said Lot 1.
NOW THEREFOR;, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE 'I0WN OF TUKWILA, that a
board sidewalk, beginning at a point 22 feet East of the line between Lots 1 and 20,
Block 1, A. 0, Berg's Addition to the Town of Tukwila, being on the Korth side of
Tukwila Avenue in said Town, and continuing West to the west side of said Lot 1 in
Block 1, in the above :mentioned Addition, be constructed at the expense of the abut»
tins property,
Said sidewalk to be constructed of sound, merchantable fir lumber; 2" x 6" x 6'
surfaced boards to be laid between planks; each plank to be nailed at each
bearing with two 16 -penny nails; to have 3 4.•inch x 4• -inch Bleepers, said sleepers
to be blocked every six feet with cedar blocking and joints to be well nailed.
All lumber to be No. 1. Merchantable fir, free from any and all defects that would
impair its strength, durability or appearance, Waike to be laid to a true line
of grade to be given by the Superintendent of Streets. All work to be done in a
workmanlike manner, and to the satisfaction of the said Superintehdent of Streets.
The abutting property in front of and adjacent to which said sidewalk is to
be constructed, together with the approximate cost, and the name of the owner
thereof, is as follows:
Lot No. 1, and the West 22 feet of Lot.20, Block 1, A, 0. Berg's Addition to the
Town of Tukwila; A. G. Berg Owner, estimated cost $105.00; total linear length
150 feet
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That notice in the manner provided by law be
given to the owner of the above described property, ordering the construction of
said sidewalk, and that there be provided in such notice that unless said walk
shall have been constructed on or before the 19th day of September, A. D. 1920,
the Town of Tukwila will, on that date, proceed to construct said walk and cause
the expenses of such construction to be assessed against the said owner of the
real property abutting upon the proposed structure.
