RESOLUTION NO 32
WHEREAS, There has been presented to the Town Council. of Tukwila a
Resolution signed by One Hundred and eight (108) gegistered voters of the
Tovm of Tukwila; and,
WHEREAS, This Resolution recites that there is in process of forming a
Water District comprising the territory represented by School. District.�No.
144, of which territory the Tovm of Tukwila forms a part; and,
WHEREAS, The Town of Tukwila is a Municipal corporation of the Fourth class
and fully qualified by law to acquire by purchase, condemnation or otherwise
c. water system or systems, and,
WHEREAS, The aforesaid Resolution is in substance a protest against including
the Town of Tukwi :La within the aforesaid Water District and requests the
Town Council to tae such steps as are necessary to prevent the Tow* of Tukwila
from being included in said Water District; and,
1',tHEREAS, It has been conclusively demonstrated that there is an adequate
supply of water within the corporate limits of the Town of Tukwila; and,
WHEREAS, The executive powers of the aforesaid district will infringe on the
municipal powers of the said Town of Tukwila in that the said Town will
be deprived of their municipal prerogatives and privileges.
NOVI TIIEREFOORE, Be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila
that we do hereby protest against thejinclusion of the said Tovm within the
limits of the aforesaid proposed ;;`ater District, and do hereby respectfully
pray the Honorable Board of County Commissioners that when establishing the
boundary ::lines of the said proposed Water District hereinabove referred to
that the Town of Tukwila be not included therein.
Adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila this 13th day
of January 1927, and signed by me in authentication of its adoption.
