AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO KING COUNTY A RIGHT-OF-WAY
FOR A PERMANENT HIGHWAY THROUGH OVER AND ACROSS CERTAIN STREETS
ALLEYS LOTS BLOCKS AND PARCELS OF LAND IN THE TOWN OF TUKWILA
WITH AUTHORITY TO THE SAID KING COUNTY TO CONSTRUCT SUCH PERMANENT
HIGHWAY AT ITS OWN EXPENSE.
SE IT OfthATNED the Council of t}ie Town of Tukwila:
Section 1. That there be and hereby is granted to King
County, a municipal corporation of the state of Washington, a
right away for the purposes of a permanent hig?'iw ay e i thin the
definition of Chapter 35 of the cession Laws of Washington, 1911,
described as follows:
Beginning at a poir't on the north line of Joseph roster
Donation Claim No. 39 in Section 14, township 23 north range 4
E.W.M., ring County, Washington, 60 feet southwesterly measured
at right angles from the southwesterly line of the right of way
of the Puget Sound Electric Railway; ur er,ce senth 44£ 52' east
parallel with said right of way 1032 f e t more or lees; thence
on a curve to the left having a radius of 985.37 feet, 99.73 feet;
thence south 50° 40' coat 200.06 feet; thence on a curve to the
right having a radius of 925.37 feet 93.62 feet feet; thence
.south 44° 52' east 355.60 feet; thence on a curve to the right
having a radius of 2834.93 feet running parallel with and distant
10 feet eouth- esteriy from the rorthwesterly margin of block 15
of Hillman's eeatt1e Garden racte, 913 feet mare or less; thence
from a tangent of south 10 °43' east on a curve to the left having
a radius of 985.37 feet 191.01 feet; thence south 22° 33' east
2205 feet no re or less; thence on a curve to the left having
a radius of 826.34 feet, 549.78 feet; thence south 60° 40' east
475 feet more or less; thence from a coy ►_roe of south. 41° 41'
east on a curve to the right having a radius of 15.935 50 feet
none or less; thence south 20 °17' west 318.41 feet; thence on a
curve to the left having a radius of 316.48 feet, 161.16 feet;
thence south 9 01' east 78.82 feet; Thence on a curve to the
right having a radius of 160.99 feet, 92 feet none or lees to a
point on the northerly margin of Tames Clark road No. 2; thence
northeasterly along said northeasterly margin to the West bank
of White River; thence northerly along Bald river bank to the
southerly right of way line of the Puget Sound Electric Railway;
thence northerly and westerly along said right of way line to a
point on the north line of said Joseph Poster Donation Claim
No. 39, 83 f eet more or less easterly from the point of beginning;
thence westerly to the point of beginning.

lots, blocks and parcels of land in the Town of Tukwila, King
County, Washington, to wit:

Section 2. That where in any case for the purposes of
this ordinance and of such permanent highway it shall be
necessary for King County to acquire or appropriate lands,
real estate, or other property in the Town of Tukwila, and
it shall be unable to agree with the owners thereof or parties
otherwise intereeted therein, upon the reasonable and fair
value of such lands, real estate or other property, the said
Ring County is hereby authorized to acquire the sane by con
demnation proceedings in the manner provided by ti1e laws of the
State of Washington for the arpropria }ion by cour:ti ee of lands,
real estate or other property for public purposes.
Section 3. The Town of Tukwila heinm entirely unable to
pay for the acquisition by purchase, or otherwise, or the
appropriation by oreie"ra i en proceddit gs, of any portion of
the right of gray hereby greeted, the said T' _rg County shall pay
the entire expense of such acqu1 ticn by purc. are or otherwise,
or such appropriation of all the lands, reel estate, fi other
property required and necessary for the ee poses of each }ghway,
except is hereinafter provided in Section e, of tle is ordinance,
Section 4. That there be and hereby is gaited and
conveyed to the said Kin; County, in fee simple title, without
further compensation or consideration to t e Town of Tukwila, all
of those portions of public streets, alleys and highways of the
Town of Tukwila included within the real property hereinabove
described, to be kept and owned by the said King County for the
purposes of said permanent highway forever, and that the same
be and they here re7 1 d as streets, alleys, and highways
of the town of Tukwila.

Section 5. That there be and hereby is granted to the
said ''ring County fuf 1 power and author °ity to construct and
maintain at its own expense, and wi thout expense to the Town
of Tukwila, the permanent hig "hway herein provided for,
Section 6, This o-dinance shall be in effect from and
after the date of its signature, attestation and publication,
in the manner required by law.
Passed by the Council of the Torn of Tukwila, and signed
by me in aut +tioation of its passage, this 11th day of May 1915,
